Calisthenics exercises work your entire body from chest to legs, helping you to get stronger, lose weight, increase coordination, balance and agility, and learn to move your body in harmony. Through the basic principles of calisthenics, this class focuses first on techniques to build strong foundations, along with a full body workout you won’t forget. From there we will work towards calisthenics signature moves like variations of push-ups, flags, levers, and more. Stemming from the core and helping people understand how to activate muscles, make exercises harder or easier and work through progressions this class is perfect for any level. No other training routine provides you with the power, coordination, balance and skill to completely control the movement and form of your body.

Bio:
My calisthenics journey started more than 5 years ago after a torn ACL playing soccer. Through physio and recovery, I started going to the local gym and getting into fitness. Trying to work around my injury I got obsessed with pull-ups and bodyweight training. During this time I took a trip to Los Angeles that exposed me to one of the biggest calisthenics communities at the time and I was hooked ever since. From that moment on, I made it my mission to create a community like it in Canada. I could see then the potential that street workout had and started training anywhere and everywhere I could. Not only did I work on my personal skills but also helped other people reach their goals in the process. In the last 5 years I’ve had the opportunity to train with some of the top calisthenics athletes in the world, developed many training programs in a group and individual settings, participated in courses with world-known organizations, designed online plans, facilitated workshops and have been a key player in the promotion of this fitness style in Toronto.
