UBC Kin Games 2019 Presents: RYU Down to Dance?

How’s that new year’s resolution going? Disappeared? Disintegrated? Hanging on for dear life? Get back into it with the UBC Kin Games Team presenting: “Dance in your New RYU Pants” Yes, that’s right! Your New Year’s Resolution goals are coming back. Get ready to break a sweat and learn some new dance moves and a full body workout from some unique instructors. You’ll leave with a sore body and a happy heart.
To fundraise for our upcoming conference, the UBC Kin Games Team has partnered with Respect Your Universe and RSVP33 dance company to create a dance and fitness class for $15. All proceeds will go for our travel and team expenses. Come out, get active, and get your groove on!
WHAT IS KIN GAMES
The Kinesiology Games (Kin Games) is the largest student-led interscholastic kinesiology conference and competition in Canada. This conference is a 3-day event that hosts undergraduate students from over 30 post-secondary institutions across Canada. Student teams compete in four major categories: Dance, Spirit, Academics and Sports. Since its creation in 2001, the Kinesiology Games has been hosted by 16 unique post-secondary institutions in 7 provinces across Canada, including by UBC in 2015.

INSTRUCTOR AND TRAINER
★ Dance Instructor = RSVP33 – Maddi Bulloch
Maddi was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and started dance training in all styles at the age of 13. Maddi made the move to Vancouver in 2017, joining both The Source contemporary company and TwoFourSeven Company. Maddi has traveled with her teams and competed both domestically and internationally, scoring 3rd place at VIBE dance competition and 1st place in World of Dance both in Los Angeles. They have also worked with America’s got Talent and World of Dance TV series. She regularly teaches hip hop with RSVP33 and dance fitness classes with RYU. Maddi has an undeniable passion for sharing her love for dance with others and integrating the dance and fitness communities.
