THE WRITINGS ON THE WALL

Brother Jopa and Sebastian Kovacs, the dynamic duo behind The Good People*, are self-taught artists who are proving what’s possible when you think differently about your craft.

The GoodPeople* is a collective focused on the pursuit of projects that inspire the world around us. By coming together to celebrate creative ambition, they encourage others to think differently about art and design. The GoodPeople* activate spaces around the world that bring people together and inspire creative ventures.

When we were connected with The Good People* through the Vancouver Mural Festival, we knew only epic things could result from us joining forces. Not only are they Vancouver natives (#locallove), but they are also aligned with our values. For these reasons and many more, they were the perfect fit to breathe new life into the community space of our flagship store.

We posted up with The Good People* and chatted about what respect means to them and where they draw inspiration from.

WHAT DOES RESPECT MEAN TO YOU?

Respect is present to the people and the world around you. It really is the foundation of healthy relationships, with one’s self and others.
Respect is something that is learned. For us to receive respect, it first starts with us learning to give respect to ourselves.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

My inspiration is from hip hop culture, British Columbia lifestyle and pretty much any creative subculture around the world.

Check out The Good People* artistic installment at our flagship store on Vancouver’s iconic West 4th Avenue.
